Forged couplings are mechanical components used to connect two lengths of pipe or tube, ensuring a secure and leak-proof joint in piping systems. Manufactured through a forging process, these couplings are produced by shaping high-quality metal under extreme pressure, which enhances their strength, durability, and resistance to mechanical stress, corrosion, and high temperatures.

Forged couplings are typically made from materials such as Mild steel, stainless steel, or alloy steel, depending on the application requirements. 

*Types of Forged Couplings*

1. *Full Coupling

   Connects two pipes of the same diameter end-to-end. Commonly used in small-bore piping systems.

2. *Half Coupling

   Used to connect a pipe to a fitting, valve, or other equipment. One end is threaded or socket-welded, and the other is plain.

3. *Reducing Coupling

   Joins two pipes of different diameters to allow smooth flow transition between them.
